OPIS KIERUNKU STUDIÓW II STOPNIA
Kierunek studiów Environmental and Land Engineering prowadzony w języku angielskim kształci i przygotowuje przyszłych inżynierów do:
- projektowania i eksploatacji instalacji oraz sieci cieplnych, wodociągowych i kanalizacyjnych,
- technologii i budowy urządzeń służących do uzdatniania wody oraz oczyszczania ścieków,
- gospodarki odpadami i pozyskiwania energii z odpadów oraz energii odnawialnej,
- oceny warunków geotechnicznych i zjawisk związanych z interakcją między budowlą i gruntem,
- analizy systemów ochrony powietrza,
- projektowania i eksploatacji instalacji budynków energooszczędnych
- efektywnego wykorzystania nowoczesnego oprogramowania inżynierskiego.
The Environmental and Land Engineering, conducted in English, educates and prepares future engineers for:
• design and operation of installations and heating, water and sewage networks,
• technology and construction of devices for water treatment and wastewater treatment,
• waste management and energy recovery from waste and renewable energy,
• assessment of geotechnical conditions and phenomena related to the interaction between the building and the ground,
• analysis of air protection systems,
• design and operation of installations of low energy buildings
• effective use of modern engineering software.
ATUTY
W odróżnieniu od innych prowadzonych specjalności, studia na kierunku E&LE dają możliwość poznania szerokiego spektrum zagadnień związanych ze wszystkimi obszarami inżynierii środowiska (woda, powietrze, gleba, klimat wewnętrzny, energia).
Studia prowadzone są w języku angielskim w mniejszych grupach i w międzynarodowej atmosferze ze studentami zagranicznymi studiującymi na PK.
Zajęcia prowadzi grono wybranych wykładowców doświadczonych w prowadzeniu zajęć na uczelniach zagranicznych oraz zaproszeni wykładowcy z zagranicy.
Podczas studiów zwraca się szczególną uwagę na bezpośredni kontakt studenta z wykładowcą oraz stosowanie nowoczesnych technik nauczania, z naciskiem na dużą aktywność i samodzielność studenta w procesie zdobywania wiedzy i umiejętności.
Dzięki współpracy PK z Università di Cagliari (Sardynia, Włochy) studia te dają możliwość uzyskania podwójnego dyplomu ukończenia studiów. Każdego roku grupa studentów będzie miała możliwość odbycia 2. i 3. semestru studiów na Università di Cagliari, co pozwoli im na równoczesne uzyskanie dwóch dyplomów ukończenia studiów: Politechniki Krakowskiej i Università di Cagliari.
ADVANTAGES
In contrast to other specializations, studies in the E & LE field provide the opportunity to learn a wide spectrum of issues related to all areas of environmental engineering (water, air, soil, indoor climate, energy).
The studies are conducted in English in smaller groups and in an international atmosphere with foreign students studying at the CUT.
Classes are conducted by a group of selected lecturers experienced in conducting classes at foreign universities and invited lecturers from abroad.
During the studies, special attention is paid to the direct contact of the student with the lecturer and the use of modern teaching techniques, with emphasis on the student’s high level of activity and independence in the process of gaining knowledge and skills.
Thanks to the cooperation between the CUT and the Università di Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy), these studies give the opportunity to obtain a double diploma of graduation. Each year, a group of students will have the opportunity to complete the second and third semesters of study at the Università di Cagliari, which will allow them to simultaneously obtain two diplomas of graduation: Cracow University of Technology and Università di Cagliari.

Studia na II stopniu tego kierunku skierowane są do osób posiadających tytuł zawodowy inżyniera lub magistra inżyniera uzyskany w trybie studiów I stopnia lub jednolitych studiów magisterskich na kierunku inżynieria środowiska w zakresie specjalności prowadzonych na WIŚ PK lub na innych uczelniach technicznych. Drugą grupę, do której adresowane są studia, stanowią osoby posiadające tytuł zawodowy inżyniera lub magistra inżyniera uzyskany po studiach innych niż inżynieria środowiska, zainteresowane tematyką środowiska oraz nowych technologii i wiążące swoją przyszłość z pracą w rozwojowej i dochodowej branży wykonawczo-instalacyjnej. Do grona tego należą zwłaszcza inżynierowie z doświadczeniem zawodowym w tym obszarze, którzy chcą uzupełnić i udokumentować swoje kompetencje. Warunkiem rekrutacji na kierunek E&LE jest dobra znajomość języka angielskiego.
FOR WHOM
The second-level studies in this field are addressed to people holding the professional title of engineer or master’s degree in engineering under the first-level studies or uniform master’s studies in the field of environmental engineering in the field of specializations at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering or other technical universities. The second group to which the studies are addressed are persons with the professional title of engineer or master’s degree obtained after studies other than environmental engineering, interested in the subject of the environment and new technologies and binding their future with work in the development and profitable executive and installation industry. This group includes in particular engineers with professional experience in this area who want to supplement and document their competences. The recruitment requirement for the E&LE is a good knowledge of English.
Pierwszy semestr
Podczas studiów drugiego stopnia na kierunku E&LE celem jest zdobywanie wiedzy specjalistycznej oraz rozwój kreatywności przy samodzielnym rozwiązywaniu różnych zagadnień inżynierskich. Podczas pierwszego semestru studiów zdobywasz wiedzę i umiejętności, które stanowią podstawę studiowania na kolejnych semestrach i będą pomocne w zdobywaniu bardziej specjalistycznej wiedzy i umiejętności. W programie pierwszego semestru oferujemy takie przedmioty, jak Geographic Information Systems, data analysis and statistics, oraz applied hydraulics, a także bardziej specjalistyczne: municipal infrastructure, soil remediation i building installations. Poznajesz także nowoczesne oprogramowanie, wykorzystywane w trakcie pracy projektanta (REVIT i FLUENT).
Podczas tego semestru odbędzie się także kwalifikacja studentów E&LE do udziału w programie podwójnego dyplomowania w ramach współpracy z Università di Cagliari.
First semester
During the second-cycle studies in the E & LE field, the aim is to acquire specialist knowledge and develop creativity while solving various engineering problems independently. During the first semester of study, you gain knowledge and skills that form the basis for studying in the following semesters and will help you acquire more specialized knowledge and skills. In the program of the first semester we offer such subjects as Geographic Information Systems, Data Analysis and Statistics, and Applied Hydraulics, as well as more specialized ones: Municipal Infrastructure, Soil Remediation and Building Installations. You also learn about modern software used during the designer’s work (REVIT and FLUENT).
During this semester there will also be a qualification of E&LE students to participate in the double degree program in cooperation with the Università di Cagliari.
Drugi semestr (możliwość studiowania w Università di Cagliari)
Drugi semestr studiów na kierunku E&LE poświęcasz na poznanie i pogłębienie wiedzy specjalistycznej z zakresu wodociągów i kanalizacji (Water Supply and Sewerage) oraz technologii wody i ścieków (Water and Wastewater Treatment) , usuwania i unieszkodliwiania odpadów (Solid Waste Management) , a także projektowania i eksploatacji energooszczędnych budynków (Energy Effficient Buildings) i kontrolowania jakości powietrza wewnątrz budynków (Indoor Air Quality). Jest też możliwość wybrania dodatkowego przedmiotu związanego z zainteresowaniami studenta.
Studenci zakwalifikowani do programu podwójnego dyplomowania będą podczas tego semestru studiowali w Università di Cagliari we Włoszech według zbliżonego programu studiów. Natomiast do grupy pozostającej na PK dołączą studenci z Università di Cagliari.
Second semester (opportunity to study at the Università di Cagliari)
The second semester of the E&LE field course is devoted to getting to know and deepening specialist knowledge in the field of Water Supply and Sewerage as well as Water and Wastewater Treatment, Solid Waste Management and design and exploitation of Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Air Quality control of buildings. It is also possible to choose an additional subject related to the student’s interests.
Students qualified for the double diploma program will be at Università di Cagliari in Italy during this semester, according to a similar degree program. On the other hand, students from Università di Cagliari will join the group remaining at the CUT.
Trzeci semestr (możliwość studiowania w Università di Cagliari)
Ostatni semestr upływa Ci na przygotowaniu pracy magisterskiej na wybrany przez Ciebie temat pod kierunkiem wybranego wykładowcy oraz do jej obrony. Jednak wciąż będziesz uczestniczył w zajęciach pogłębiających Twoją wiedzę na temat na temat współdziałania budowli i gruntu (Soil-Structure Interactions) oraz metod i instalacji ochrony powietrza (Air Protection).
Studenci zakwalifikowani do programu podwójnego dyplomowania będą podczas tego semestru kontynuowali studia w Università di Cagliari we Włoszech, podobnie jak studenci z Cagliari na PK.
Po zaliczeniu ostatniego semestru oraz obronie pracy dyplomowej zostajesz absolwentem WIŚ PK z tytułem magistra inżyniera. Studenci, którzy uczestniczyli w programie podwójnego dyplomowania, otrzymają również prestiżowy dyplom ukończenia Università di Cagliari (Master in Environmental and Land Engineering).
Third semester (opportunity to study at the Università di Cagliari)
You pass the last semester preparing your master’s thesis on the subject chosen by you under the supervision of the chosen lecturer and defending it. However, you will continue to participate in activities that deepen your knowledge about the interaction between building and soil (soil-structure interactions) and methods and installations of air protection.
Students qualified for the double diploma program will continue their studies at Università di Cagliari in Italy during this semester, as well as students from Cagliari at CUT.
After passing the last semester and defending your diploma thesis, you are a graduate of Faculty of Environmental Engineering CUT with a master’s degree in environmental engineering. Students who have participated in the double diploma program will also receive the prestigious diploma of Università di Cagliari (Master in Environmental and Land Engineering).
